About

I’m Kabya. I build backends and solve contest problems.

I study Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Dhaka (graduating in January 2027) and work as a backend developer at Makebell, where I build services for an AI legal document product.

Most of my work sits behind an API: microservices, queues and workers, and databases that have to stay correct when two requests arrive at the same time. Outside work I’ve built a VM cloud for universities, an online judge, a Text2SQL system, encrypted file storage and a RAG study assistant. I also trained image models to spot fake Bengali news photocards.

I’ve solved more than 1,500 competitive programming problems, I’m an Expert on Codeforces, and I’ve competed at the ICPC Asia Regional twice. I play CTFs too, which is a good way to learn how systems break. These days I’m Vice President of the CSEDU Informatics Club, where I help run contests and mentor newer students.

01 Experience

  1. Oct 2025 to Present

    Backend Developer, Makebell LTD

    • Architected FastAPI microservices for AI-powered legal document processing: clause extraction, template generation and draft review.
    • Built a DOCX comparison engine that produces redline reports for documents up to 100 MB.
    • Built an OCR microservice with Qwen Vision and PyMuPDF.
    • Integrated these services into an asynchronous pipeline for production workloads.
    • Containerized 3+ services with Docker Compose, with health checks, resource limits and separate development and production configurations.

  2. May 2025 to Aug 2025

    Android Developer (Flutter), Sociofi Technology

    • Built and shipped an internal employee management app in Flutter, used by production teams for daily operations.
    • Implemented role-based access control.
    • Worked on the APIs behind it, with request validation and authentication.
    • Delivered production-ready features under tight deadlines.
